03.13.08 - Mason Racin Update

      Orlando, FL - Mason raced at the 2008 Winternationals in Orlando, Fl. He raced every day Tuesday, February 12 through Saturday, February 16. Out of 14 drivers, Mason finished 3rd overall with a total of 124 points. For more information and to read the articles for each day's race you can log on to www.legendsnation.com. On Saturday, February 23, Mason raced at Atlanta Motor Speedway on the road course. Mason finished the race in 8th position after having a hard time on the track due to a brake problem.

Then on Saturday, March 1st, Mason headed to Cordele to the Watermelon Capital Speedway to race in a make-up race that was rained out a few weeks ago. Mason took 3rd in his first race. He then won his heat race. In his main and final race, Mason was in 2nd and passed the lead car on the back straight-away to take thecheckered flag for the win.

On Saturday, March 8, Mason raced again at Atlanta Motor Speedway following the Nationwide race. In front of thousands of fans, Mason started in the next to last position and moved up for a nose-to-nose finish in which Mason came in second.

His next race will be this Saturday, March 15 at the Huntsville Speedway in Alabama. This will start the National Points Series. Sunday he will race at Lanier and will return to Lanier the following Saturday, March 22. Mason's cars are in good shape and tuned up right ready for summer racing.
