Rossburg, OH - With weather always a threat at this point in the race season, two of the last four races for Jeremy Campbell Motorsports have been won by Mother Nature. After racing April 6th at Paducah International Raceway in Paducah, Kentucky, the April 7th event at 1-55 Speedway in Pevely, Missouri was cancelled due to extremely cold weather. Campbell ran 5th in the B-Main at Paducah, missing the A-main by one position.
This week's action at Eldora Raceway in Rossburg, Ohio was limited to Friday only, after a rain/snow mixture moved into the area Saturday. Once again, Campbell ran 5th in the B-Feature, narrowing missing the main event.
RLM Financial Services and Jeremy Campbell Motorsports had a luncheon planned for Saturday afternoon, but with the weather situation there was a team decision to postpone the meeting and reschedule for later this season.
"We are really excited about our opportunities with RLM Financial and we want to give everyone the best chance to hear their message, so we will reschedule for another weekend and hopefully have better luck with the weather," Campbell said. A special thanks goes out to Ron Gorby and Americas Best Value Inn of St. Marys, Ohio for hosting the JCM team along with RLM Financial for the Eldora race weekend.
"Last year I felt like we were plagued by crew changes and motor problems," Campbell said, "but this week we are finalizing the crew for the 2007 season and we have some developments in the motor program that I'm excited about. I expect to come out strong at Knoxville and get this season on the right track."
