Stratham, GA - The weekend at Winchester Speedway was definitely consistent for Justin South. Consistence can be a key factor at the end of the year when it is all said and done. South and the #59 HD Supply Lumber and Building Materials Dodge Charger team started out the weekend10th in practice. There was a little improvement with qualifying, moving up to a 9th place starting position.
The race would be an up and down roller coaster ride for South and the #59 Dodge Charger team. South went down a lap early in the race and fought diligently all day to get back up front. The team struggled with a tight racecar, but after a few adjustments the crew got South back to the top of the field. Justin finished the Winchester ARCA 200 in 10th place, adding another top ten to his resume.
"I am so proud of my team. The crew of the #59 HD Supply Lumbar and Building Materials Dodge Charger never gives up. They will keep working until I am happy with the car. I went down a lap early and knew it was going to be tough to get back up front, but we did it. We have been consistent all year. We are holding on to the 5th spot in the points race, which is great but I would really like to get a win under my belt. I would love to see the #59 HD Supply Lumbar and Building Materials Dodge Charger in victory lane. Kentucky is coming up and I think we have a good chance of picking up that win. We ran exceptionally well at Nashville and I feel like Kentucky might be our race," explained Justin.
Justin will be attempting to achieve a win this weekend at Kentucky Speedway. In every event South is a strong competitor with the ability to win the race; it is just a matter of time before he actually does. The Buckle-Up Kentucky 150 is scheduled for Saturday, May 12 starting at 8pm EST.
