05.22.07 - Justin South Tackles Toledo

Stratham, GA - Justin South scored a third place finish at the famous Toledo Speedway this past weekend in the Hantz Group 200 presented by Federated Car Care. Even though the #59 HD Supply Lumber and Building Materials Dodge Charger team hit a bump in the road last weekend at Kentucky, they did not let that misfortune interrupt their key battle plan. Justin qualified the #59 HD Supply Lumber and Building Materials Dodge Charger in the 14th position and never looked back after the green flag flew.

The team proved just how determined and prepared they were for the Hantz Group 200. The #59 HD Supply Lumber and Building Materials Dodge team, under the direction of Barry Owen, pitted on lap 75. This pit strategy would put the #59 Dodge Charger team in contention for the win throughout the rest of the race. Justin and the team remained in the top-five for the final segments of the race, which were caution filled due to the lack of patience of other drivers. At the end of the day the #59 HD Supply Lumber and Building Materials Dodge finished the weekend with a lot of success, all attributed to the members of a dedicated team.

"I had a great car this weekend. We struggled a little bit in practice because the car was tight but it started to loosen up towards the end of the session. At the beginning of the race the car was still semi tight but it would loosen up on the long runs and would become awesome. The pit stop strategy worked out like we hoped. We were originally going to make two stops but the car was so good on the long run we decided to just make the one stop on lap 75. If we had elected to make another pit stop there at the end I think that it would have been awfully difficult to pick up enough positions that late in the race. It was a good day overall. The car worked well, the pit stops were great and the crew was fantastic. I am glad the team will have a weekend off from racing, they deserve the break," said Justin.

Justin South also got the opportunity to visit with the fans at Flat Rock Speedway. Justin signed autographs and had the opportunity to participate in the fan appreciation event on Saturday evening. From Toledo, the ARCA RE/MAX Series takes a Memorial Day Weekend break but is back to action on Saturday, June 2, 2007 for the Prairie Meadows 250 at Iowa Speedway LIVE on SPEED Channel at 9 pm ET.
