Stratham, GA - Justin South and the #59 HD Supply Lumber and Building Materials Dodge Charger team had a tough weekend at Pocono Raceway and are looking for better results at Michigan International Speedway for the ARCA 200 this Friday evening. The goal of the weekend for Justin South and the #59 HD Supply Lumber and Building Materials Dodge Charger team is to go out and win the race.
The two-mile oval produces some of the best racing of the year with a multi-groove racetrack that can challenge both the driver and the crew chief. The team will be looking forward to a quality run this weekend. They will put all the ingredients together in hopes of capturing their first win of the season for Kerry Scherer and HD Supply Lumber and Building Materials. "Power is the key at Michigan. With our "Mike Agee" engines that produce so much horsepower, we can't go wrong. I am looking forward to Michigan; this will be my first start at the track. Obviously clean air is your friend and you have to adjust your car to the track. Keep in mind this track has wide sweeping turns and the corners can be a little bit of a challenge but we are up for whatever comes our way. Having Barry Owens' experience is something a lot of teams are not privileged to have on a team. I know we have been somewhat consistent for the most part of the year but our focus has changed and we not going to waste time just out riding around. We are going to go as hard as we can go every lap. We are going out there to win the pole and win the race. That is going to be our attitude this weekend and every weekend that we race for the remainder of the year. Everyone is working really hard to overcome the string of bad luck we have encountered. The upcoming break will really help us get caught up on some work at the shop," said Justin.
"While I have the opportunity I would like to thank a few people that have helped me out over the past year. First, I want to thank Jeremy Curtis at G-FORCE Racing Gear for my new uniform. I also want to thank Pete Cochran at On-Site Oil Change in Alabama for his continued support of my racing career. Without the support of others that believe my talent and ability the dream of being a racecar driver would never happen. I deeply appreciate all the people who have supported me and continue to support me on my journey down a long, hard, and at times frustrating road. It is all starting to pay off and I will continue to work hard in order to make everyone proud," expressed Justin.
