West Allis, Wisconsin South scored a top ten finish this weekend in the Governors Cup 200, after a challenging weekend. The #59 HD Supply Lumber and Building Materials Dodge team worked hard all weekend long to keep the team in contention and remain in the seventh position in points.
As the race unfolded Justin and #59 HD Supply Lumber and Building Materials Dodge would contend for the win until misfortune struck with a brake issue. Justin masterfully, drove the Dodge Charger through the field beginning in the sixteenth position to finish ninth for the event. South has adapted to the flat one mile ovals and really has found his niche on these types of tracks. As the team finished up the day on Sunday, they will be concentrating on back to back events traveling to St Louis for the Gateway ARCA 150 and then on to DuQuoin, Illinois to participate in the Southern Illinois 100. Justin will be ready to roll in both events as he looks to score his elusive win for Cunningham Motorsports and HD Supply Lumber and Building Materials Dodge team.
"Milwaukee is a neat track and just wished that we hadn't had our problem today, but those things happen, especially on a one mile track where you have to drive hard into the corner and get on the brakes and back on the gas. My guys worked hard this weekend and we were coming up through the field. I knew we had a car to beat today and I just feel bad about the whole thing. I know we be going to another couple of tracks similar to this next week, we go get them and put this #59 HD Supply Lumber and Building Materials Dodge in the winners circle," said Justin.
