Salem, IN Justin South captured another top-ten finish this weekend at Salem Speedway in the Eddie Gilstrap Motors Fall Classic by Advance Auto Parts on Saturday evening.
Justin qualified the #59 HD Supply Lumber and Building Materials Dodge in the 22nd position and finished tenth. The racing was spectacular at the half mile oval in front of a packed house. The Cunningham Motorsports organization is putting a lot of energy in the last two events of the season with two goals in mind. First, to pick up another win and secondly, to gain points before the season comes to a close.
The team will participate in testing at both Toledo and Talladega in hopes of accomplishing the goals they have set for themselves. Look for the #59 HD Supply Lumber and Building Materials Dodge Charger to be in contention for the chase to Victory Lane in the next two events.
"We had a good weekend, just kind of slipped a little," said South. "Overall it was a good weekend, but it could have always been better of course. The guys worked dilegently all weekend. We stayed out of trouble the entire evening and coming from mid-pack to tenth is pretty cool. We have two races left and I am bound and determined to grab a win for everyone that has been a part of this team all year. We will be doing some testing and should be ready to roll out of the box when we go back to Talladega and Toledo to close out the year."
The ARCA RE/MAX Series will take the next two weekends off before taking the racing to Talladega Superspeedway on October 5, 2007.
