After a grueling debut season in the All Stars Circuit of Champions Sprint Car Series, CAP HENRY won the coveted "Rookie-of-the Year" title and joins an impressive list of winged sprint car alumni.
After losing his crew chief at the beginning of the summer stretch, the youngster rolled up his sleeves and climbed in AND under the car to prep it each week. With the addition of veteran mechanic, DARL "FUZZ" LYONS, "the kid" can now focus on developing his chemistry and communication skills with the 20+ year veteran of both winged and non-winged sprinters.
"Fuzz" has worked with some of the best young short track racers of the last generation including: SHANE HMIEL, LEVI JONES, TRACY HINES, RICKY STENHOUSE, JR., BRIAN CLAUSON, DAKOTA ARMSTRONG and CALEB ARMSTRONG.
"I'm really excited to get back to wing racing", said Lyons from the Team CHR shop in northern Ohio. "I love working with young drivers while helping them build their career and Cap has what it takes to get to the next level!"
The team is taking the next couple of months to get everybody acclimated to the new line-up and based on the past few seasons, 2011 could see Cap Henry and team CHR battling for the All Stars championship in just their second year on the tour.
